Mark Richman : Version Control

The primary reason I gravitated to the intuitive development environment of FileMaker is that it makes a complex task (i.e., building powerful applications) super-easy. This ease-of-use has enabled many ‘non-traditional’ developers to become effective software builders. Unfortunately, that same ease-of-entry means some of the best and time-tested development practices have never been learned or adopted by our community.

Fortunately, implementing one of the most important of these practices - Version Control - is also relatively easy, and offers huge benefits to FileMaker development teams and companies.

I'll share how my own team of seasoned FileMaker developers learned to love Version Control and how it literally transformed our development practice.
